Hi, I’m Chloe!
I have been working in the early childhood education and care sector for over nine years. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work as an educator, an early childhood trainer and now feel incredibly fortunate to be the Director and Educational Leader of Bunny Cottage.
Being part of such a beautiful, family-oriented centre closely aligns with my values as an educator. I believe there is something incredibly special about watching children learn, grow and develop. I feel very privileged to play a part in some of the most important years of their lives.
I am passionate about creating a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment where every child, family and educator feels valued, supported and a true sense of belonging. I feel very blessed to be part of the Bunny Cottage community and look forward to sharing many more special memories, milestones and moments with our wonderful children and families.

Hi, I'm May!
I enjoy working with children, witnessing and engaging with their different paths of belonging, being, and becoming. Playing and learning with them fills me with gratitude, as I help them reach their full potential and learn so much from them in return.
Children's safety is my top priority. I work hard to create a safe and caring environment where every child can thrive. I treat them fairly and make sure they feel included, looking after their physical and mental safety.
I take time to observe each child thoughtfully and understand their interests, strengths, and individual needs. I record these insights by following the planning cycle and leaning on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to support intentional teaching and prepare them for big school.
I value working together with my team and parents. I am committed to improving my skills and actively look for ways to enhance my professional development through Quality Improvement Programs. This allows me to provide the best support for the children I am fortunate to work with.

Hi there!
My name is Miss Salina, and I’m an Early Childhood Educator in the Tiggywinkles baby room at Bunny Cottage. I have completed my Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education, with my final placement also taking place here at Bunny Cottage. I started my journey with Bunny Cottage at the end of 2024 as a casual educator and have since grown into a permanent role within the team. As a mother myself, I have a genuine love and passion for nurturing and caring for children. I especially enjoy being part of the babies’ early years, supporting their development, building trusting relationships, and creating a safe, warm and happy environment where every child feels loved, valued and supported. I feel very grateful to be part of the Bunny Cottage family and look forward to continuing to learn and grow alongside the children and families.

Hi, I’m Julie!
..also known as Nanny to most of the children at Bunny Cottage. I have worked here since February 2001 so nearly 26 years. I had always wanted to be a Pre-school teacher but I met my husband at 17 at the end of Year 11 and things didn’t go as planned and I missed out on going to University. All good, I had an amazing career with the NSW Railways. In 2001 I was learning oil painting and met a friend whose daughter ran Bunny Cottage and wanted casual staff and that’s how I started. I found my calling and now have my Certificate 3 in Child Care. I have two sons and a beautiful daughter and six grandchildren and have had the utmost pleasure of having three of those grandchildren attend Bunny Cottage three days a week for the last nine years. Not many Nannys can boast that! I love being with the children, interacting with them and encouraging their enthusiasm for learning!

Hi, I’m Cherry!
I have been gaining experience in the Early Childhood Education field since 2021 and am a qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ECT). I am passionate about creating a happy, safe and nurturing environment where children feel confident and secure to learn, explore and grow. I believe play is one of the most meaningful ways children learn, and I love supporting each child to discover their strengths, build confidence and reach their full potential while enjoying their learning journey. It is very rewarding for me to see children grow, develop and become confident little learners.

Hello, I am Rony!
… and I am a passionate early childhood teacher. I am a passionate about creating a warm, fun and inclusive environment for children. For my experience, I hold a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I have been working with children since 2024. My goal is to use my expertise and knowledge and create a safe, nurturing and engaging space for children so that they can thrive to their fullest potential. My hobbies includes nature walks, cooking, travelling and a huge sunset lover.

Our Cottage welcomes children and their families into a warm and nurturing environment that focuses on continuity between home and the Early Childhood Education Setting. We aim to promote a sense of belonging for the children where they feel safe, secure and trusted as they build relationships with their educators.
We believe in developing a sense of equity and inclusion for everyone in and out of Bunny Cottage.
As educators, the children are at the forefront of everything that we do and their safety and happiness is of the utmost importance. Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and we use the principles and practices to inform all aspects of our centre. We acknowledge children’s agency and promote their autonomy by incorporating self-help skills throughout our routine.
We believe children learn through play and as such our learning environments are intentionally planned and designed to promote exploration, investigation, experimentation and creativity.
Family input is valuable to us as we believe they are the children’s first teachers and so we work collaboratively with families to support children’s holistic development.
The outdoor natural environment is an important part of our center’s identity with our Jacaranda tree in the middle of the yard providing shade and learning opportunities.
Through role modelling, children are encouraged to use our natural environment as their third teacher.
We pride ourselves in our environmentally sustainable practices and encourage the same for the children.
The local community provides us with many learning opportunities in the form of incursions and excursions to enrich the children’s knowledge of interest topics and important life skills.
Most of all, as an Early Learning Centre and as Educators, we understand the immense privilege of caring, supporting and nurturing young children. With this privilege, comes a daily commitment to working together, and in partnership with families to ensure the care we provide is holistic and child centred.
About us
It has been our absolute privilege to have taken on ownership of Bunny Cottage this year (2026). We humbly acknowledge that we come after two incredible owners, and are so grateful to be entrusted with the much-loved heritage and values that Bunny Cottage has had since it opened on the 20 May, 1995.
Prior to being owners of Bunny Cottage, our working backgrounds were in health and aged care policy, quality, and management. Our passion in early child education ignited after having our own child, Jude, now 3 (and a little girl on the way). While the early learning sector was a little different from the professional experience we have had, our passion for caring for others remains the same and is as palpable as ever. The core values and experiences we have had in providing safe and high-quality care that is accessible, honest, compassionate, and reliable – are values that are equally important in early childhood education.
We are so lucky to be working alongside wonderful staff who care for the children of Bunny Cottage. They are the heart of Bunny Cottage and our priority is to empower and support them to provide quality care and to ensure Bunny Cottage remains a place of curiosity, fun, and learning while also remaining a safe, kind and loving space to nurture all aspects of growing children.
Every day we are inspired by the families, children and staff at Bunny Cottage. As a family, and as a community, we are committed to making sure that the impact we have on the lives of children are intentional, positive and meaningful and together, give them the care, warmth and childhood that they all deserve!
As a growing family of our own, we know firsthand the trust and responsibility that comes with caring for your child. It is hard to entrust your little one into the care of others. We carry this privilege in everything that we do, committing to partnering with families to ensure each child is individually seen, known and cared for.
